Assistance Programs

Through programs designed to improve food security for individuals and communities, the Peoria Area Food Bank connects people with more food and resources, and gives them the tools they need to become self-sufficient.

Food Distribution

The Food Bank provides 80 very active pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior housing, and low income day-care centers with large quantities of food from name brand manufactures and USDA commodities on a daily basis.  Click here to locate an agency near you.

Mobile Pantries

Through a Mobile Pantry, a truckload of food is distributed to clients in pre-packed boxes or through a farmers market-style distribution where clients choose to take what they need.  We operate 4 mobile food pantries throughout our service area. The locations of our mobile food pantries are listed below.  Go to the Agency Locator page and type in the zip code of the location to get hours of operation and directions.  For more information, contact Jeanette at 309-999-3841.
