What do others have to say?
Today, many struggle to provide for their families. With the ability to purchase quality food from Peoria Area Food Bank, our food pantry disperses quality foods, weekly, to needy residents of Fulton County. Every sack consists of two meals for a small family. Depending on size, every family receives 1-4 sacks of well-balanced foods. With the ability to purchase 9# turkey breasts for $5 from the Food Bank, families received Thanksgiving dinner supplies: a turkey breast or ham, sweet potatoes, stuffing mix, broth, pumpkin cookie mix, a whole pie or cake, carton of eggs, milk and juice boxes for those with children. Christmas distribution was similar in size, and provided every family a large ham and trimmings. As we served one family, the mother started to cry stating “I didn’t think we would have enough food for Thanksgiving, but now we have been blessed.”
St. Mary's Food Pantry, Fulton County
We get notes and words of appreciation every day we distribute food. The single mothers that we serve are most vocal in their thanks. They tell us how much difference the food they get makes in their children’s diet. Because we get so many supplies at such a reasonable cost from the Peoria Area Food Bank we are able to serve more people and give each one a bit more.

Thank you for all the food we have received through you throughout this past year. Because of you, St. Edward’s was able to help the poor in Chillicothe.
This Christmas we were able to keep our tradition of giving food baskets to our families. Thanks for helping us, help others.
